LUTEIN
LUTEIN It is the xanthophyll extracted from the Tagetes erecta or Marigold, commonly called the Cempaxuchitl flower. Provides a bright yellow tone.
Nutritionally it is related to the reduction of degeneration of the ocular macula, having the effect of better vision.
In common with other carotenoids, it is stable to heat and acidic media but is susceptible to oxidation. It can be used in beverages, dairy, cheeses, snacks.
